Happy New Year, Babes! For a lot of us, the new year signifies a new beginning + fresh start. Something I want to note is that while it’s wonderful to feel empowered and encouraged to make some changes in your life, there is never a wrong time to start working towards a goal! Whether you start today, a week from today, or in four months – GO FOR IT! Don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way. You totally got this (whatever it is) and I’m here to cheer you on!
If you’re looking for resolution inspiration, here are a few things I’ve been incorporating into my routine. You’re welcome to join in!
–Practice gratitude daily – You can do this by reflecting in a journal, saying three things you’re thankful for each night before bed + right when you wake up, calling a loved one and chatting, and so many other ways! One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is volunteer, so I also make this a priority as well.
–Drink more water – Seems easy, but it’s surprisingly difficult to get those eight glasses in each day. DO IT, THOUGH. Your body will thank you! I add lemon to my water to make it less boring, and also try to have a full glass with each meal.
–Be kinder to yourself – We are all working and trying our hardest to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Acknowledge that, and if you ever feel yourself having thoughts of anxiety or are down on yourself because of what you’ve yet to achieve, focus on all of the positive things you’ve done! Reflect on all that you HAVE achieved, and use it to motivate yourself to keep pushing even harder.
